Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us
ChurchMend, a product of Ouchens LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operates ChurchMend, a maintenance management service for churches and similar organizations. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact us at support@churchmend.com.
2. Data We Collect and Why
We collect different information depending on how you use our service.
Account holders (churches and staff)
- Name and work email — to create your account, sign you in (including magic-link authentication), and send service-related emails.
- Church or organization name — to set up your workspace and identify your organization.
- Billing and payment information — processed by Stripe when you subscribe. We do not store full payment card details; Stripe handles that on our behalf.
Public request portal (people who submit maintenance requests)
- Request title, description, category, and location — required to create and route the work order.
- Requester name and email — optional; used only to send status updates about the request if you provide them.
- Photos — optional; uploaded with your request and stored so your organization can view them. You choose what to upload.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to provide, operate, and improve ChurchMend: to create and manage accounts, process work orders, send transactional emails (e.g., magic links, request confirmations, trial reminders), process payments and subscriptions, and support you when you contact us.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the product:
- Supabase — database and file storage (including photos). Data is stored in the United States.
- Stripe — payment processing. Their use of your data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and work order data while your organization's account is active. After you cancel or stop using the service, we may retain data for up to 30 days for backup and support purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it in line with our internal procedures.
6. Cookies
We use cookies only as needed to keep you signed in (e.g., session cookies for authentication). We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at support@churchmend.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you may also have the right to object to processing, restrict processing, or data portability; contact us to exercise those rights.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at support@churchmend.com and we will delete it.
9. California Residents (CCPA)
We do not sell personal information. California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information by contacting us at support@churchmend.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of ChurchMend after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g., by email or a notice in the product).
11. Effective Date
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026-02-19.
